Information We Collect

We collect personal information you choose to share with us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and business details when you contact us for sales or support, and account information needed to operate TecPoint for your store.

How We Use Information

We use your information to respond to inquiries, provide TecPoint and related hardware/support, process requests, and communicate about your account. Store data in TecPoint is used only to run the store’s own point-of-sale, inventory, invoicing, and related operations.

Google / Gmail data (TecPoint)

When a store connects Gmail in TecPoint Settings, we request:

• The Google account email address, so we can match it to the System Email already created in TecPoint.
• Permission to send email on that account’s behalf (gmail.send).

We store OAuth access and refresh tokens, encrypted, on TecPoint servers. We use them only to send business email the store initiates or configures: invoices, customer statements, purchase orders, and system notifications. We do not read, search, list, modify, or delete mailbox contents.

We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or use it to train AI models.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnect and deletion

To stop TecPoint sending mail from Gmail, disconnect or replace the System Email in TecPoint Settings, and revoke TecPoint at Google Account → Third-party access. Contact us at the address below to request deletion of stored tokens or other account data.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share relevant information when you ask us to do so to complete a requested service (for example, sending a PDF document through WhatsApp to your customer), or when required by law.

Data Security and Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including encrypting Gmail OAuth tokens at rest. We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and for business and legal purposes, or until you disconnect Gmail or request deletion.
